Emilie works on her paintings in successive layers. She paints with acrylic, blending dripping, knife technique, and brushwork in her art. She loves working with epoxy resin and uses vintage Swarovski crystals, which are recycled Swarovski crystals imported from Europe.
Her first love is undoubtedly with the abstract expressionist style, and she is also fascinated by the Automatistes movement. In 2022, she discovered an artistic turning point that led her to a change in style that incorporates her love for the abstract and her fascination with the human being. The artist is constantly evolving and does not want to limit herself. Gosselin seeks to represent the complexity of the human being and the constant struggle between individuality and social pressure. She often portrays taboo emotions such as anxiety, sadness, and depression, but also hope, dreams, and strength.

Emilie, can you please describe your art in four words?
Glamour, pop, colored, strong
What inspires your art?
My primary source of inspiration is the human being. I find women particularly beautiful and full of complexity, and I love painting women's faces. However, I also paint men; I really enjoy painting and letting my intuition guide me, especially when I create abstract works.
How would you describe your experience at Clio Art Fair?
I loved the atmosphere, especially at the opening night; I enjoyed seeing body art. I found the organization to be on point! Happy 10th anniversary!
